Scripture reference:
Isaiah 26:3
“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in You.”

This is one of many favorite scriptures. As a kid I would hear this gospel song around the house by Keith Pringle in 1981 titled “Perfect Peace”, but I never really understood the words “God will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him…He watches me…He is the keeper of my soul.” I can say as I grow in my relationship with Christ, I understood more and more what it means that no matter what goes on, He will give me peace because I trust Him.
I’ve faced somethings in my 41 years of living (good and bad) but one thing is for sure, when God makes a promise, He keeps His word. I know that I must turn to God continue trusting Him because…

Thinking today how God desires all of us and had this song on my mind that a young lady who I have watched grow up sang a year ago by Forever Jones “He wants it all”

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Scripture reference:

Psalm 63:1-4 “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and glory. Because You lovingkindess is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”

Encouraged today after reading this scripture and wanted to share with all!! There’s joy when in fellowship with God regardless of how you may feel or how others may treat you, even when you feel all alone. There’s joy in having a relationship with the Almighty, All Powerful God!! So with that all I can say AMEN and pass this word onto someone else!!

I was just sitting and thinking about how Gospel music has changed over the years. I remember listening to James Cleveland, Walter Hawkins and the Hawkins singers, The Winans, Shirley Ceasar, Albertina Walker and many more as a kid. I thank God that my parents exposed us to those artist at an early age. Makes me appreciate their talent as well as their love for the Lord. They would sing from their hearts and be done. Now a days it’s changed to folks singing just to get a rise out of the audience (shouting and hooping and hollering). But real talk it’s about your heart for God. It’s about Him and Him alone. Not you
John 4:24 tells reminds us about worshiping God in spirit and in truth. It’s all about giving God glory and honor due.
God has had me really taking a look at myself and ask why I do what I do. I responded to Him, “my desire it to make you look good. Give you glory and honor. And continuing to praise your name because You are so worthy!!!!”. Not about me Oh God. But ALL YOU

Random Thoughts 8/5/12

As I was driving home from church this morning, I thought about how we put our trust in others with our lives every single day. Some may say “no I don’t ” but my response is ” yes you do. When you get into a vehicle whether you’re driving or not, you’re trusting that those on the road with you will not make any mistake to cause you harm. ”
So easy to trust others while on the road in vehicles but we can’t trust God with our lives. The Creator of all things.

While I was thinking this exact thing driving home, I happen to notice on my right side a green van was moving closer into my lane, and his lane had to turn right. I immediately hit my brakes and laid on my horn and his response was to wave at me. Learning daily what it means to trust in the Lord with my entire being …life not man. Prov 3:5-6

Always throws me off when someone asks you to hold them accountable and when you do they tell you you’re being judgmental. My response usually is “um …to hold one accountable means to hold them to the Truth that you and I both have grown to know, love, believe and assist with being obedient to Truth. To judge is not my position as a believer anyways. Only God can judge you”. James 4:12.
